Kathmandu, April 5 (RSS): Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara left here today for Doha, Qatar, leading a Nepali delegation to participate in the 140th assembly of Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Speaker Mahara will put forth his views during the discussion on 'parliament an appropriate forum to increase education of peace, security and rule of law' in the assembly taking place from April 6 to 10.
Similarly, Pushpa Bhusal would participate in the meeting of women parliamentarians and Shanta Chaudhary in the meeting of youth parliamentary members in the sideline of the assembly.
According to Federal Parliament Secretariat, the members of the delegation would also take part in the meeting of standing committee related to finance and trade for the sustainable development.
Lawmakers-- Bhusal, Chaudhary, Haricharan Siwakoti, Bimal Prasad Shreevastav, Laxman Lal Karna, General-Secretary at the Parliament Secretariat, Manohar Bhattarai, and Secretary at the House of Representatives, Gopalnath Yogi, among others are in the delegation.
